Afro Cuban Jazz

SOFRITO plays a mix of Afro Cuban music, including Latin Jazz, Salsa, Samba, Bembe, Cha Cha Cha and Danzon. You’ll hear classics with fresh arrangements and songs that are off the beaten path. Our sets features songs with great vocals and jazz instrumentals.

Based in San Francisco and led by Max Yoshimoto, we blend Latin music with jazz improvisation and add strong yet smooth lyrics with vocalist Caroline Cabading.

We celebrate Latin culture and showcase the power of music as a universal language. From the first note to the final chord, our performances take you on a tasty musical journey.

If you didn’t know, Sofrito is a mixture of vegetables, herbs and spices that provide the flavor for many Latin cuisines…our band embraces the idea to deliver a flavorful music experience.

We are a collective of talented musicians who are passionate about Latin music with years of performing experience and play in many Bay Area Bands.
